Az. Agr. Belvedere Colonna

The farmhouse Belvedere Colonna farm is situated in the Senese hills at Montepulciano (Siena), an area of great historical importance environmentalistic, particularly suted to oil and wine production. It was founded in 1970 whit the purchase of the Belvedere farm in the town of Cervognano and throught the years, extended until it reached its current size of about 15 hectares. FROM the start, using natural procedures, the business dealt in production of wine and oil, originally for family consumption only, the gradually introduced INTO the market placealways been maintaining however family management and its tradition of natural methods. Part of the business has always been reserved for goat and sheep farming so as to provide the manure necessary for the crops, trying always to keep to the natural biological cycle. In 2000, the Belvedere Colonna company officially converted to Organic Farming thus confirming its original vocation and obtaining the certified denomination of Organic Farm Company in january 2004. The Company is a member of the Montepulciano Vino Nobile Consortium an the Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
